- Notas: La mujer de la que se habla en la canción es Diane, la esposa del cantante, y habla del momento en el que la conoció, como destacaba por su belleza en la multitud y el hecho de que él fuese el afortunado en el que ella se fijase pese a haber centrado la atención de los demás hombres de la sala.

Cuenta la historia que la escribió tras una fuerte discusión con su mujer y la idea en mente fuera la de que no hay que cometer el error de dar por sentado que la persona con la que decides pasar el resto de tu vida va a estar ahí siempre.

La referencia al vestido rojo va relacionada con el hecho de que la mayor parte de los hombres no serían capaces de recordar cómo iba vestida su pareja a primera vez que la vieron y lo importante que pueden ser ese tipo de detalles.
