- Notas: La canción forma parte del álbum “Endgame”, que tiene como temática central el fin de la existencia tal y como la conocemos, ya que a diario hay noticias que nos hacen ver que vivimos al borde del colapso.
En el caso de esta canción, el grupo se centra en las consecuencias del huracán Katrina en Nueva Orleans, afrontándolo desde la perspectiva de la temporalidad de dichas desgracias en el mundo de la prensa, es decir, que duró un tiempo corto como noticia de actualidad, hasta que el interés de la gente pasó a una nueva desgracia o historia, dejando a esta gente abandonada pese a las promesas de ayuda de las que se habla en el título de la canción
- 1. “…bayou…” = Es el término que en el sur de los Estados Unidos se usa para referirse a ese terreno pantanoso que no está completamente estancado, sino que son aguas que se mueven, pero muy lentamente.
- 2. “…lullaby…” = Son las canciones de cuna que se cantan a los niños para que se puedan dormir.
