- Notas: La canción trata sobre el mundo de las adicciones, sean drogas o alcohol. El “scar tissue” del título hace referencia a esas cicatrices o marcas que dejan el consumo de estas sustancias y que son imposibles de esconder. En los momentos de claridad entre episodios de adicción, el adicto siente esa soledad de la que se habla en el estribillo, ese momento de enfrentarse en solitario a la realidad de la adicción de la que se es prisionero.
- 1. “…Scar tissue…” = Es el tejido que queda en una cicatriz y que revela un daño producido hace ya tiempo.
- 2. “…mister know-it-all…” = Es el modo de indicar que una persona es un sabelotodo tipo cuñao de bar.
- 3. “…push-up bra…” = Son los famosos sujetadores “wonderbra” que empujan hacia arriba los pechos para hacer que abulten más.
- 4. “…drawl…” = Este “drawl” puede referirse a un fuerte acento local a la hora de hablar.
- 5. “…brawl …” = “Armar jaleo” o “buscar pelea”, siempre se usa para indicar el andar buscando problemas y agresividad física.
- 6. “…crawl…” = Es el modo de moverse arrastrándose por el suelo, propio de animales, de niños que gatean y de borrachos que no pueden tenerse en pie.
