bien esta canción ha pasado a ser un villancico (“Christmas carol”),
originariamente era una canción protesta contra la participación en la guerra
de Vietnam por parte de Estados Unidos.

1. “Merry / happy Chrismas” = “Happy” es un adjetivo que puede usarse con
cualquier celebración o contexto, mientras que “merry” es un término mucho más
antiguo y actualmente solo se oye junto a “Christmas”. Por otro lado, los
americanos usan sobretodo “merry Christmas”, mientras que los británicos suelen
usar mas la formula “happy Christmas” para felicitar la Navidad.
