- Notas: 

Nuevamente nos encontramos ante una canción que habla sobre el amor no correspondido (“unrequite”) cantado por alguien a quien le han dado calabazas y se tienen que contentar con imaginar lo que le gustaría que fuera pero no va a suceder jamás. Algunos incluso interpretan que la canción habla sobre alguien que puede acabar convirtiéndose en acosador por su insistencia.

- 1. “…call you up…” = Este bonito phrasal se usa para hablar de recordar o traer alguien a la memoria y también para llamar a filas en caso de guerra, cosa que no es el caso de la canción, así que pensaremos que hablar de perder el tiempo pensando en ella pese a que le haga menos caso que un vegetariano a un chuletón de Ávila.

- 2. “…dime…” = Los “dime” son las monedas americanas de 10 centavos que solo sirven para añadirle peso a los pantalones y acabar en el fondo de un lago si nos caemos por la borda del barco de pesca. Tiene tan poco valor que se usa mucho para comparar con cosas de poco o nulo valor como mi título de echador de carta conseguido en la Universidad de Massachufes, ubicada en Alboraya hasta que la cerró la policía por fraude.
- 3. “…toss the dice…” = “To toss” es el verbo que se usa para hablar de lanzar o tirar tanto una moneda como los dados (“dice”) como parte de un juego o para decidir el resultado de algo. El tirar los dados es algo que siempre se relaciona con la suerte o el destino de las personas.
