- Notas: La letra de la canción trata sobre el estado de shock en el que queda una mujer que es testigo de cómo asesinan a su pareja. Aparentemente habían salido por la noche y estaban paseando disfrutando de la luz de la luna y de la felicidad del momento hasta que presencian una pelea, él intenta meterse en ella a mediar y acaba recibiendo 4 disparos que le causan la muerte. Para cuando ella corre hacia su pareja, este yace ya en el suelo muerto rodeado por una muchedumbre que le hace difícil el paso para verlo.

Algunos han querido relacionar la canción con la muerte de Jhon Lennon, incluso se le preguntó al autor sobre este punto y dio respuestas esquivas sobre el tema.

- 1. “…carried away …” = Este phrasal se usa para hablar de dejarse llevar por algo, normalmente una emoción. En este caso se trata de las emociones que siente la pareja dejándose llevar por la felicidad del momento.

- 2. “…riddle …” = Los “riddles” son los acertijos enigmas o misterios. En la canción el misterio podría ser la causa de la pelea que acaba con el asesinato de su pareja o la razón por la que lo matan.
- 3. “…to push through…” = Otro phrasal, este se usa para indicar el abrirse paso a empujones entre una multitud, es lo que parece querer hacer la cantante para llegar hasta su pareja que está rodeado por gente que le corta el paso y le impide llegar a él.
