- Notas: En palabras de la propia Shakira la canción trata sobre el poder de seducción que puede tener una mujer al bailar. No es que me lo haya dicho ella personalmente, ojala, pero no solo nunca ha contestado a mis emails sino que al final pesa sobre mí una orden de alejamiento (“restraining order”) por plasta.

Sobre el título “mis caderas no mienten”. La idea de la canción le viene a Shakira de sus rutinas cuando prepara un nuevo tema. Le da vueltas y vueltas a la música y letra, pero hasta que no siente la música en las caderas no considera que la canción está lista y sigue haciendo cambios, por lo que en cierto modo “sus caderas no mienten sobre cuando una nueva canción está realmente lista”.

- 1. “…keep on…” = Este es un phrasal que se usa mucho para indicar el “continuar haciendo algo que se estaba haciendo”.

- 2. “…I'm on…” = La construcción “to be on” referida a un espectáculo o actuación se usa para expresar que se está haciendo muy bien. En este caso la cantante indica que está dando un estupendo espectáculo con su baile.

- 3. “…'pac … Humpty Humpty …” = “Pac” es Tupac Shakir, un rapero y actor americano famoso allá en su país. “Humpty Humpty” hace referencia al grupo Digital Underground (también conocido como “Humpty Hump”) en el que cantaba antes de pasar a su carrera en solitario.

- 4. “…Snatch…” = “To snatch” es un verbo que se usa para indicar el apropiarse de algo en un descuido de su propietario, algo así como arrebatar algo de un tirón, de un manotazo, aprovechándose de que su propietario no estaba atento y no podía hacer nada para impedirlo.
