- Notas: Esta es una de esas canciones de amor tan empalagosas (“cheesy”) que solo de oírlas puede darte un subidón de azúcar y tener que ingresar en el hospital debatiéndote entre la vida y la muerte. Aunque la versión más conocida sea la de Glenn Medeiros, el autor verdadero es George Benson.

Sobre la temática de la canción poco hay que explicar, es la típica canción de amor que repite los mismos mensajes universalmente usados para este tipo de canción sin aportar nada nuevo.

Esto afecta al lenguaje usado en la canción, que tampoco presenta ningún tipo de complicación.

- 1. “…gonna …” = Una forma habitual de leer “going to” es este “gonna”, que suena más nativo o natural, pero hace que algunos profesores de inglés se tiren de los pelos si lo oyen de boca de uno de sus alumnos.

- 2. “…oughta…” = Otra contracción (de “ought to” en este caso) que se usa por economía lingüística, es decir, para usar la menor cantidad de saliva posible al hablar. Es algo oral y muy coloquial, por lo que solo lo vemos escrito en trascripciones literales de un texto hablado para ser más fieles a lo dicho / cantado.
