- Notas: La canción la escribió Annie Lenox tras la disolución del grupo Eurythmics, cuando aún se sentía insegura sobre su capacidad de producir éxitos en su recién estrenada carrera en solitario. “Why” se corresponde con esa duda existencial que alguien tiene en ciertos momentos de su vida y que afectan a todos los aspectos, desde su relación de pareja hasta su futuro profesional o propósito de su vida en general.
- 1. “…be better off…” = Es un giro usado para indicar que alguien estaría mejor o en una situación más satisfactoria que la que ha estado experimentando hasta el momento. En la canción se habla de una relación de pareja, y lo que se dice en esta estrofa es que podría estar mejor sin esa relación.
