- Notas: El autor de la canción reconoció en una entrevista que uno de los motivos que le hizo dedicarse a la música fue la posibilidad de viajar y ver mundo, y un lugar que siempre le atrajo desde su infancia fue el continente africano. Se junta además que se educó en un colegio católico donde muchos de sus profesores habían sido misioneros en África, lo que le hizo desear aún más ver este continente.

La canción en sí no es más que ese amor por África o ese ansia por descubrir esta región del planeta que el cantante siente, aunque hasta el momento de componer la canción nunca la hubiese pisado y toda la información que tuviese fuese lo que veía en la tele en películas y documentales.

- 1. “…longing for…” = Se usa para indicar que uno anhela o desea algo con muchas ganas. Se trata de un deseo insatisfecho con el que uno sueña y que espera con ansias el momento en el que se convierta en realidad.
- 2. “…to drag me away from…” = Este giro se usa para indicar el llevarse a alguien de un sitio contra su voluntad y arrastrándolo. El cantante lo usa para indicar que una vez en África no va a ser fácil que se decida a marcharse de allí y ni entre varios van a poder llevárselo a rastras.
