- Notas: La astrología divide la historia en eras de unos 2500 años basándose en la posición del sol durante la primavera. Desde la época de Jesucristo hasta hace unos pocos años decían que estábamos en la era de piscis, y esta era se caracterizaba por la importancia que se daba a la religión, y la siguiente era sería la de acuario, donde el conocimiento tomaría el liderato y sería una era ilustrada llena de avances y mejoras que coincidiría con un época de paz y hermandad al estilo hippy.

La canción juega con este concepto astrológico y considera que estamos en los albores de esa era de acuario, coincidiendo con que la época hippy estaba en su mejor momento y la guerra de Vietnam aún estaba en marcha.

La segunda parte de la canción con su “let the sunshine in” lo que busca es animar al oyente a dejar que la luz de esa nueva era llene su vida por completo y acepte el cambio de una época a la otra.

- 1. “…steer…” = El “steering wheel” de un coche es el volante, por lo que el verbo “to steer” se usa para hablar de coger el timón de un barco, el control de un coche, o en sentido metafórico tomar el control de la propia vida.
- 2. “…derisions …” = El “derision” sería el desdén o escarnio con el que alguien se burla con crueldad de otra persona, con la intención de hacer daño y denigrar a la otra persona.
