- Notas: Curiosamente, el título de la canción hace referencia a una marca de desodorante (“Teen Spirit”) que la banda encontró en unos ultramarinos de Olympia, Washington en agosto de 1990. Esto fue tema de chistes y bromas durante el resto de la tarde, hasta que a alguien se le ocurrió escribir la frase “Kurt smells like teen spirit” haciendo referencia al desodorante, pero Kurt Cobain lo interpretó de modo metafórico y a partir de ahí escribió una canción que pretende ser un himno o llamada a la acción a una generación de jóvenes a los que consideraba apáticos y pasivos.
- 1. “…self-assured…” = Es un adjetivo que podríamos traducir por “seguro de si mismo”, que es como el cantante ve a los jóvenes de su generación.
