- Notas: Compuesta para ser la banda sonora de la película "Los violentos de Kelly" ("Kelly's Heroes"), hay quien mantiene que no tiene ninguna relación con la película en sí, y simplemente narra la vida de un joven que desoye a familia y amigos y toma decisiones erróneas en su vida, de las que posteriormente se arrepentirá (los "burning bridges" porque son decisiones sin retorno). Para otros, es la historia de un joven que decide alistarse pese a la oposición de amigos, que incluso le buscan un trabajo en un intento de cambiar su decisión, y que tras la guerra se arrepiente de los años perdidos y de las experiencias de guerra vividas (las "burning memories").
- 1. “…passed them by…” = Se usa para hablar de largo, aunque en la canción indica el no pararse a valorar los consejos recibidos sino seguir adelante haciendo oídos ajenos a sus opiniones optando por seguir un camino que deja atrás a amigos y familiares.
- 2. “…walked away…” = Similar a la nota anterior, significa alejarse de un lugar.
