- Notas: Lionel Richie recibió el encargo de hacer la canción principal para la banda sonora de la película "White Nights", que trata sobre dos bailarines que se fugan de su respectivo bloque durante la Guerra Fría que acaban coincidiendo en Rusia y planean una nueva fuga. La canción trata sobre la amistad y la soledad.
- 1. “…masquerade…” = Se usa para hablar de los bailes de máscaras, pero en sentido metafórico, como en este caso, se usa para indicar que una situación es una farsa y que la realidad es muy distinta a como veíamos las cosas.
- 2. “…lonesome…” = Es un adjetivo propio del inglés americano para indicar que alguien es solitario, pero de un modo triste, no por soledad elegida, sino por soledad forzada al no tener nadie con quien contar o en quien poder confiar.
