- Notas: Al parecer la homosexualidad de Freddie Mercury estaba presente en bastantes de sus canciones, siendo esta una de ellas. La presión (“pressure”) que el cantante afirma sufrir es la de saberse homosexual y por ello rechazado por la sociedad del momento. Es una condición que no es una elección personal (“no man ask for”) y que además puede llegar a romper familias (“splits a family in two”) entre los que acepta dicha situación y los que no. Incluso algunos amigos al saber la verdad acaban rechazándolo (“Watching some good friends screaming, "Let me out!") y apartándose definitivamente.

- 1. “…pushing down on me…” = Literálmente sería “aplantandome contra el suelo.”

- 1. “…gets me higher…” = Lo de “high” viene por el estado de optimismo que se siente al estar colocado por el consume de las drogas o cuando de repente todo nos va bien y estamos extasiados.

- 1. “…Chippin' around…” = La presión de la que se habla no actúa de golpe sino que va royéndote por dentro poco a poco. Eso se expresa con el verbo “to chip around”, ya que “chip” es romper un trocito pequeño.
- 1. “…slashed and torn…” = Son dos verbos que se usan para hablar de romper algo, sería algo así como rasgar algo con las manos hasta dejarlo reducido a pedacitos.
