- Notas: Esta es una canción que habla de decepción, de darse cuenta que lo del sueño americano es una quimera (esos son los "broken dreams") y uno descubre que ha acumulado una vida de fracasos buscando conseguir un imposible. Este descubrimiento le obliga a replantearse la vida y seguir adelante en completa soledad mientras uno busca su propio camino. La única luz de esperanza es encontrar a alguien con quien compartir vivencias y con quien seguir adelante compartiendo camino.
- 1. “…shallow heart…” = Cuando una persona es superficial decimos que esa persona es "shallow", y al hablar de "shallow heart" centramos esa superficialidad en el mundo de los sentimientos y probablemente el de las relaciones con otros que pasan a ser inauténticas, sin compromiso o sin verdadera profundidad que nos una al otro.
- 2. “…fucked up …” = El modo más informal y vulgar de indicar que una situación está completamente arruinada y sin posibilidad de remediarla.
- 3. “…vital signs…” = En español las conocemos como "constantes vitales" y son cosas como el pulso, tensión arterial, etc., y que se usan para ver si alguien sigue vivo incluso tras horas enteras sin moverse del sofá viendo Netflix.
